The Monteverde Conservation League, with the collaboration of Chadwick & Son Orchids, Inc, has realized an interesting project for re-introducing orchids to their natural habitats in selected areas in Costa Rica . The species in question is the Cattelya skinneri orchid, which is the national orchid of Costa Rica .
The project included the construction of a small laboratory to grow orchids, using local materials. Some of the plants will be introduced into the forest.
